Hanging out!

During a recent diaper change, Mallory was so fascinated by a hanging scarf on the chandelier, she didn't mind hanging out without her clothes on the dining room table. She is going to be 7 weeks tomorrow and is going through what appears to be a growth spurt...a little fussy, very hungry, and making more and more noises.

Grandma and Grandpa Merriman took cousin Paola, Nicolas, and Lisa to Niagara Falls for a couple of days. They have been having a great time visiting NY and only have another week until they return back to Texas.

It is also someone's birthday today.....Happy Birthday Michol!!!!

Busy Weekend!

We had a nice busy weekend and Mallory passed with flying colors. My cousin from Peru, Paola and her son Nicholas, are up from Texas visiting Mom and Dad Merriman's for a few weeks. I haven't seen her since I was really young and on Saturday spent the morning hanging out and catching up. We took a lot of pictures of course...which I hope to post soon.

After the Merriman's, we were off to Michol's cousin David and Gina's house for a cookout on there lakeside property in Nassau. We had some great food (shrimp, clams, filet mignon) and Mallory relaxed in her bouncy chair on the deck most of the time. Mallory had a nice surprise as Aunt Duffy was able to come up from Atlanta for the week and see her niece for the first time.

Sunday was a little more tame...Michol got a chance to clean the house up and I took care of the grounds and managed a 2 mile run at the hottest most humid time of the day...not the greatest of ideas since I still had the lawn to cut.

Love that Car Seat!

Mallory certainly loves her car seat! We have actually been using it during the night and she has been sleeping very well....which means Michol and I have been sleeping much better!

Chilling out!

After a nice 4 1/2 hour sleep in the bassinet during the night, Mallory surprised us, once again, with quiet time in the family room. Michol was in the kitchen and I was getting ready for work while the pups watched over their sister. Mallory seemed fascinated with the hanging toys in her bouncy chair. Eventually she needed to be changed but it was a nice hour and half of not needing to be held!

Last week was another "1st" with Mallory getting a bath. With the help of Michol's Aunt Mema, Mallory was scrubbed up in her tiny tub. She did well...of course, the water was different for her and she let them know.

My First 4th of July!

Mallory was sporting her 4th of July outfit today but couldn't quite get into the festive mood :)

We spent a nice weekend hanging with family. We went to the Grandma/Grandpa Merriman's for some grilling on the deck and spent Sunday afternoon at Michol's cousin Jim and Lisa's.

Today was pretty mellow. We were able to manage a 45 minute nap for Mallory on her bouncy chair while we had a "hands-free" lunch on the deck. It was a little warmer today so we cranked up the air and stayed cool inside!
