Thanksgiving Weekend!

As you can see from the picture above, Mallory tired herself out pretty quick on Thanksgiving day. We went to the Merrimans for the first part of the day and as Uncle Harry was carrying her around the house, she fell asleep in his arms. Since we were minutes away from feasting on an awesome spread, we put her down in the living room and ate while she slept. Perfect timing!

We went over to the Astriabs for the second half of the day and ate some more delicious food. Mallory stayed awake long enough to see her cousin Jeanette accept Andy's marriage proposal! Perfect ending to a perfect day with all our family.

We had every intention to get up early on Friday and attempt some shopping but sleeping-in seemed much more appealing. Instead, we took our time getting up and headed over to the local diner for some breakfast. After we ate, we went over to the mall to walk off the food and then headed home to the pups. On Saturday, we took Mallory to the Crossings in Colonie and let her play in the park. It was a little chilly but luckily Mallory was bundled up in her hat and mittens. She walked around like she owned the place!

Out and About...

We had a great weekend of warm weather recently so we took full advantage of it and had Mallory out and about as much as we could. We went up to Saratoga on a Saturday and had lunch at one of our favorite spots the Stadium Cafe. Mallory ate a ton of rice and chicken and as always made the busboy earn his keep. After lunch we strolled down to Congress Park and let Mallory loose for a while. She didn't seem to pay much attention to the ducks that were all over the place but she did make an attempt to walk into one of the ponds. It started to get cold so we packed things up and took the long way home so Mallory could catch a much needed nap.



Time to go Home!

On Sunday, we needed to pick up some things at the outlets in Lake George so we made a pit stop in Glens Falls on the way home to Crandall Park to let Mallory run around a little. We were able to get some nice shots of her playing with the leaves and pine cones. It started to get a little cool, so we headed home for another nice fall car ride. Of course we made one more pit stop so could we grab some nice hot coffee for the road...

Happy Halloween (Part 1)!

This year, we dressed Mallory up as an owl and kept our fingers crossed that she would keep the costume on and not want to take it off. We decided to do the same thing we did last year and just bring Mallory to our parents so everyone could see the costume. Surprisingly, she seemed ok with leaving the costume on long enough for everyone to take pictures. The expression on her face when we "unveiled" her to everyone was priceless. The only thing I can think of to describe her expression is "deer in the headlights"!
