Mallory has taken the concept of "hands free" to a whole new level. We went to lunch at Carabba's with Grandma and Grandpa Merriman for their 42nd wedding anniversary and Mallory was either really tired of holding the bottle or found a new way to multi-task.
Mallory might have a future in mountain climbing after tackling two flights of stairs at the Merrimans. Under the close watch of Grandpa Harry, our little adventure enthusiast made her way up the stairs with ease. I think she had Lucy and Lily (the resident felines) in her sights.
We had to grab the camera for this one...this seems to be Mallory's new thing. I think she is watching too much Kung Fu Panda!....you will definitely want to turn up the volume on this one. Enjoy!
We couldn't have asked for a better Easter weekend for Mallory. The weather was perfect and we were able to spend quality time with the family. We had pictures at iSmile (in Colonie Center) on Saturday and for the most part it went well. The studio was mobbed but we wound up getting in and out pretty fast. Mallory managed a few good shots until she was placed on the Easter Bunny's lap and completely lost it. I'll be posting a few pictures soon.
We woke up Sunday and went to Church with the Merrimans. All in all, Mallory did extremely well during the hour long service and managed to not pull all the hair out of Michol and Grandma Merriman's heads. After the service, we went to Pizzeria Uno for lunch. Mallory also got some nice Easter treats from Grandma and Grandpa Merriman.

After lunch, we went to the Astriabs for a great dinner and even better dessert. Mallory got some more Easter surprises from the family. It was great that most of the family was there so she was able to get some face time before she crashed for the night.
While waiting for the next heat wave to arrive, we have been keeping Mallory busy these last couple of weeks. It's hard to believe that in only a few short months, she will be 1. At her last Dr's appointment, she weighed in at 22lbs 13 oz (93rd percentile) and is 30 3/4" long (97th percentile). The doc also cleared her to start eating different foods. Her first "big girl" meal consisted of some chopped up pasta and shredded cheese.
Although she is yet to take her first steps, you can see her inching closer to this next milestone. Let's just hope we have the video camera in hand when this happens!
